GRANTS

Overview
The Linda Pace Foundation’s grant-making activity fosters the creation, presentation, and understanding of innovative expression through contemporary art. Grants support the work of contemporary artists by funding the organizations and institutions which support them. Grants are made for visual arts programming, scholarly exhibitions at museums, and commissions.

Guidelines
Grants are made on a project basis to exhibition programs at museums, artists' organizations, and other cultural institutions to originate innovative and scholarly presentations of contemporary visual arts. The program also supports the creation of new work through commissions.

Online Letter of Inquiry
A letter of inquiry is the first step in the grant process and is submitted online. After submission, we will send you an acknowledgment that your letter of inquiry was received. If we are interested in your project, we will invite you to submit a full proposal. Letters of inquiry must be received no later than November 1 for possible consideration in the Spring funding cycle and no later than July 1 for possible consideration in the Fall funding cycle.

  • The Foundation will only consider proposals for museum exhibitions opening no sooner than six months after the grant notification dates of July 1 and December 1.
  • Organizations receiving a grant are eligible to re-apply no sooner than one full year after the announcement of the previous grant award. Priority will be given to organizations that have not received recent funding.
  • The Foundation does not make grants to organizations outside the United States.
  • The Foundation does not make grants directly to individuals, but can arrange for a fiscal agent.
